The Algonquin College School of Business offers 31 business programs ranging from accounting and business administration to office administration, supply-chain management and Human Resources management studies.  All courses are designed to make school graduates immediately employable in their chosen field.  Business theory is augmented by practical skills putting Algonquin students on the fast-track to career success. School of Business graduates have an 85% employment rate within the first six months after graduation.

 

We are currently creating exciting, new, academic programs and are looking for Doctorate level professionals to contribute their expertise and passion in the area of Digital Marketing.

  • Sales Strategies and Methods - Theory and practice of sales promotion in the context of the integrated marketing communications field.

  • Digital Marketing Tools/Digital Technologies

  • eCommerce and eBusiness - Students examine current e-business models and the characteristics of business-to-business and retail e-Commerce portals. A variety of web-related design and technology subjects such as e-Business architecture security and applications are investigated. The major e-Commerce industrial sectors are explored from the business models, strategic, and financial perspectives. Students discuss computer architecture and operating systems within small-, medium- and large-scale organizations, with an emphasis on how technology supports and influences the design, implementation, and maintenance of e-Business applications. Concepts of privacy, jurisdictional issues, privacy law, access to information legislation, cyber libel and intermediary liability, the regulation of telecommunications, freedom of press, defamation, workplace privacy and invasion of privacy are reviewed. Students identify legal issues and to develop strategies for mitigating and managing risk. Pre-Requisite: Digital Marketing Tools.

  • Content Marketing - Students create and share digital media and publishing content as part of a strategy in order to acquire, change behaviour and retain customers. Focus is on making customers and others more informed by delivering consistent and valuable information.

  •  

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • PhD or Doctorate in marketing, ecommerce, or sales

    • Demonstrated in-depth expertise as a marketing or sale professional

    • Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
