Job Description

Director, Customer Experience & Partnerships

EfficiencyOne transforms how we use and save energy and other resources. It has a public purpose: to contribute to economic prosperity and environmental sustainability through the efficient use of resources. This is achieved through partnership, innovation, expertise in policy and regulatory processes, and the design and delivery of efficiency and conservation services. Led by an independent Board of Directors, EfficiencyOne is based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

 

EfficiencyOne operates Canada’s first electricity efficiency utility as the franchise holder of Efficiency Nova Scotia. Efficiency Nova Scotia also delivers non-electric efficiency and conservation services through a contract with the Province of Nova Scotia. It operates on a not-for-profit basis.

As a member of the organization’s Executive Leadership Team the Director, Customer Experience & Partnerships will be a key force in achieving EfficiencyOne’s purpose: “Changing lives through unleashing the power of efficiency”.  Providing exceptional leadership to our sales, marketing, trade partners, communications, and stakeholder relations efforts is a critical responsibility.  The Director of Customer Experience & Partnerships will be equally comfortable operating at a strategic level and at the operational level and will have the capacity to quickly shift gears between these two worlds. 

 

The ideal candidate will have a combination of leadership and operational skills and experience across the full range of customer experience and partnership functions (sales, marketing, trade partners, communications, and stakeholder relations) that will enable them to fully leverage the combined capabilities and potential of the talented teams working under their direction.  You possess a relevant Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education and experience, and significant senior leadership experience in a complex environment.  A relevant master degree is a desirable asset.  You are adept at building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and partners across the public and private sectors.
