Job Description

Position Profile:

The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) recently launched its 2013-2016 Strategic Plan: A Catalyst for Change, which renews the OHA’s commitment to achieving a high-performing health system. Our focus is on supporting our members and partners in many ways, particularly in the areas of quality, integration, and value.  The Marketing Manager is responsible for guiding the marketing strategy on a variety of OHA’s initiatives to deliver on the OHA mandate of achieving a high performing health care system.

You are a creative, proactive long term thinker with the ability to build and strengthen relationships. You have a proven ability to lead key marketing projects for multiple stakeholders simultaneously and find consensus among groups with very diverse viewpoints. Working with a variety of stakeholders, you will develop and lead comprehensive integrated marketing strategies for specific OHA products and services.

The Position:

The Marketing Manager is a creative, high energy self-starter and serves as a key marketing resource for all OHA Divisions. You bring experience in marketing and communications planning principles. Reporting to the Director, Brand Strategy and Marketing, you will:

  • Develop, manage and execute multi-tactic marketing campaigns for our corporate and divisional product lines and services to drive business and awareness. Includes:
    • Develop and execute campaigns across multiple channels such as email, social media, web, advertising, video, partnership channels, direct mail;
    • Apply previous campaign learnings and database insights, and segmentation to drive campaign development;
    • Manage agencies and suppliers to ensure high quality strategies that meet business and communication objectives, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget
    • Manage marketing budgets to target; and
    • Work closely with Marketing Coordinator(s) to support campaign execution.
  • Manage newsletter microsite and content including site changes, copy writing and editing, email design and delivery; in conjunction with Marketing Coordinator.           
  • Review all online and print materials to ensure compliance with OHA brand and graphic standards.
  • Analyze, track and report program performance. Includes:
    • Work with IT to gain understanding of web site usage patterns, landing page performance and promotion effectiveness;
    • Contribute to the overall segment strategy by providing sound and insightful information on key influencers of customer behaviour; and
    • Provide results and recommendations for improvement.

The work of this position is done in a demanding, fast-paced environment which often times presents tight deadlines.

 

The Candidate:

 

The ideal candidate possesses an undergraduate degree in marketing or related discipline, combined with at least three years of marketing project management and/or multi-tactic campaign planning experience.  You have experience with creative development and collateral brief processes; the ability to multi task and handle multiple projects; previous analytical work with marketing campaign ROI and market segmentation; and budget management experience. You are an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills – you will work within a highly customer service focused environment requiring professionalism and excellent judgement; demonstrated ability to lead by influence and be able to motivate others and build rapport and trust. You are comfortable working with various Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with MS Office SharePoint Server and/or MS Dynamics CRM systems is an asset. Your outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal; exceptional proof reading skills and strict attention to detail round out your background and provides you with the necessary skill set to deliver on a demanding role. Copywriting experience is an asset
